The process begins with an inspection for existing roof quality, with specific emphasis placed on eliminating any leaks.  Once the existing roof is ready, it is power-washed.  If necessary, a layer of primer may be applied to help with the adhesion of the new coating.  Then we apply one coat and let it dry.  A second coat is then applied for a total thickness between 22 and 30 dry mils.

We continually measure reflectivity for ten years to ensure optimum energy savings. Another benefit to the Intellicoat system is that it’s easily maintained and patched, eliminating unnecessarily high repair costs. We also provide regular power washing to remove dirt build-up and perform coating touch-ups, if required.

Our coating provides a UV barrier than removes 100° of the heat.  A roof expands and contracts throughout the day which can create thermal cycling that causes cracks to appear.  Intellicoat’s on-going maintenance and inspections ensure elimination of thermal cycling and eliminates any unnecessary costs.
